Scrum Sprint
The heart of Scrum is a Sprint, a time-box of one month or less during which a “Done”, useable, and potentially releasable product Increment is created. Sprints have consistent durations throughout a development effort and each Sprint starts immediately after the previous one ended, enabling feedback loops.
The Sprint scope might change during the sprint as more is learned, while the Sprint goal will remain the same. If the Sprint goal becomes obsolete because of the change of market or technology circumstances, then the Product owner has the authority to cancel a Sprint before the time-boxed end.
Scrum ceremonies
Each Scrum sprint contains the Product backlog refinement as an ongoing activity and Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective as Scrum ceremonies.
